Decorated with parquet floors, the mixed dormitory rooms at Amanecer de la Bahía are very bright. Guests can opt between shared or private rooms with shared bathrooms. Breakfast is served daily. PLACE WITH EXCELLENT SERVICE - VERY COMMITTED TO THE GUEST.

Excellent attention. Lucia, one of its owners, helped me when the airline lost my suitcase. He helped me get clothes so I wouldn't miss the excursions I had booked for the next day. They were present and very attentive to help me. Wonderful, excellent attention, very humane treatment. I have no words to thank you for everything you have helped me with.
The place is very nice, quiet, clean and cozy. But above all, they are attentive to everything guests need.
GRATEFULLY, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a great stay, but no refunds

Great hostel, people are really nice. Clean beds and sheets. There's hot water pretty much all day. Breakfast is simple; bread, pancakes and juice or coffee. I'm not sure how it ranks price wise compares to other hostels. Make sure you only reserve as many days as you need because there are no refunds. It cost me a night's pay.

Great place

The place is adorable we stayed for four nights and enjoyed it so much we extended our stay. The kitchen is well equipped and Juliette the night manager is fantastic. She helped us so much and she is also a tour guide so she explained a lot about the treks around.

Room smelled moist/like fungus, noise the entire night, maintenance is behind, and owner was sneaky

We booked the private room and we do not recommend this room neither the hostel, very bad experience. The room smelled awful, like moist / fungus / humidity, and was surrounded by common area: left side the hall, in front the reception and living room, and right side the patio/garden. The walls were very thin so we could hear people walking and chatting even until deep in the night. The curtains are also very thin so the light from the garden kept us awake at night, and the sound and light and smell from the smoke gets worse when you open the window. We forgot to take photos, because in the current Google photos the hostel and the breakfast all appear way better than they currently are. Bathrooms are outdated and there was no hot water (only lukewarm) in 3 of the 4 times. If the door from the hallway opens, everyone can look from the hall directly into the changing area in front of the showers. We didn’t expect much luxury, since this is one of the cheaper options in Ushuaia and we stayed in multiple hostels, but this was horrible. The worst thing was the noise: the hostel was packed with a group of very loud people, who were smoking outside, yelling, running, watching videos until late at night and even multiple times during the night. The hostel staff tried to correct them, but after midnight no staff is present anymore, so the residents can do anything they want and they did 4 nights in a row. We complained to the staff and luckily they were kind and apologised. Because of these inconveniences we got a discount from the hostel manager and paid as if we stayed in the shared rooms instead of the private room. The discount was nice but not nearly making up for this very bad experience. It was also sneaky, because when the owner cancelled the booking for the discount, we were not able to make a review anymore on booking.com, so we think he did this on purpose. Only positive point was the staff: they were friendly, helpful, booked tours and taxis for us. The breakfast was also fine, just as in any hostel: bread with jam, butter, dulce the leche, yoghurt and cornflakes, sometimes pancakes, coffee and tea.

Bad experience, deeply don’t recommend this place.

We have stayed for 6 nights.
We had a terrible experience in this hostel.
First of all, In most of the rooms there are no lockers and no keys for the rooms, people get in and out the hostel anytime they want.
The facilities are old and hardly working.
No hot water in the shower , and it is a place you would really like to have one.
The kitchen is dirty most of the time.
***We had a person who was sick with COVID-19, and even though he had a PCR test and it was approved that it is COVID19 , the owner didn’t mind that the sick person will stay and sleep and cook in the commune room***
We’ve been to a bunch of hostels and we deeply don’t recommend this one
