Home from home

The rooms are large and comfortable and the bathrooms spotless. There is a communal lounge shared by the guests where you can relax and also a well-equipped kitchenette there for preparing your own meals if you don't want the 10 minute drive into Vierzon itself. The breakfast was served by the hosts and was excellent with a wide range of choice. Would thoroughly recommend and we will be returning. It is ideally placed to break the drive from the Channel ports down to SW France on the A20.

Mixed feelings

My wife says lovely patio and quiet rustic setting.
Maybe I just got up on the wrong side of bed today, and I do see the positive reviews. This was a brand-new wing of a farmhouse which had been renovated and provided with four guest rooms. But there were a few odd points: a) in our bathroom, no shower-curtain. I would urge that one be installed. Also, b) the adjustable shower head, at its highest point, only came to my shoulder -- that's strange. C) since it is a b&b, I was expecting our host to offer to scramble up a couple of eggs the next morning.This isn't too much to ask, is it? Instead I found a hard-boiled egg at my place. D) finally, and I don't want to dwell on this, but it did set a bad tone for the breakfast: there was one table with a view out the window in the dining room, but when I came bouncing out, that table had a note: "reserved for Mssr and Madame x". There were three couples staying at the establishment. When Madame x came out, she explained that they were friends with the proprietor. Okay, but doesn't the proprietor want to be our friend too? Madame x apologised but I'm afraid my cheery morning mood was already damaged.

Simply fabulous! Ideal for a romantic getaway

This ranks among the top three B&Bs we've ever stayed at. The room was just beautiful, bright and airy, with a huge comfortable bed, lovely bathrobes, and a spacious bathroom with soft towels of different sizes. Attention was paid to every detail. The communal area was equally top notch. We bought wine and baguettes and cheeses and cold cuts and fruit at the local super market and had a lovely dinner in those welcoming surroundings.The hosts cannot do enough to make you comfortable. Breakfast was superb, and very generous, with all kinds of home made products. The grounds were beautiful too. And everything was spotlessly clean. It was excellent value for money. I highly recommend this Chambres d'Hotes.

The best quality and value Chambres d'Hotes in France

Our second stay at Domaine de la Junchere confirmed our initial impression that this is a superb Chambres d'Hotes. The quality of the bedroom and communal area is 5* and the breakfast provided is of the highest quality. We have already booked for another visit later in the year.

One of the Best B&B's Ever

This B&B makes our top 3 list and it's a long list. The hosts speak no English but go out of their way to do everything possible to make your stay comfortable. We figured out a placed to eat in nearby Vierzon and they accommodated our early breakfast request as well.
The rooms are spacious, bright, clean and well decorated with a large en suite, robes and a very comfortable bed. Breakfsat was the best we had during our 29 day trip and the price was incredibly low for the quality of our stay.
