Where "budget" means dirty and broken
We had to leave the room three times to request basic items like hand soap, bathmat, wifi password, CLEAN cups (we were provided dirty ones) and teaspoons. At one point there wasn't a staff member even around to assist us.
The shower was a mere trickle and the inside of the head fell off in my hand, scattering questionable black bits everywhere. Not fit for purpose.
There were squashed bugs on the wall of the room, the bedclothes were discoloured, the beds hard, the carpets filthy, the back of the mirror had come away.
Having had a long day and no other options in the area, we put up with this shoddy place. In the morning, when I wanted to complain, the pub was locked up and there was not a soul in sight.
After returning home and speaking to the manageress on the phone, she claimed the room was "budget" and a "good price for the area." "Budget" does not excuse dirty, broken facilities.
I paid £70 for this joke of a room. I wish I'd stayed in a Travelodge, it would have been a 100% upgrade from this hole. It seems as though the management at Copley Arms knows they can get away with terrible service. Why else would they continue to sell this room?

Public hair on bed spoke to the manager. Who assured me rooms were cleaned prior to arrival ha. Funny how blue bottles were squashed in the. Floor.
