South Seas Resort sijaitsee yksityisellä rannalla. Alueen luonnonkauneuteen voi tutustua kohteissa Bowman's Beach ja Sanibel Island Southern Beach. Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation ja Bailey - Matthews Shell Museum ovat myös vierailun arvoisia. Täällä voit ajaa vesiskootterilla, meloa kajakilla ja snorklata ja kokeilla muita vesiurheilulajeja. Rantakohde, jossa on 2 ulkouima-allasta South Seas Resort tarjoaa asiakkaittensa käyttöön yksityisen valkohiekkaisen rannan, sataman ja 2 ravintolaa. Siivouspalvelu on saatavilla kerran loman aikana. South Seas Resort tarjoaa 80 ilmastoitua huonetta, joihin on kulku ulkokäytävän kautta ja joissa on tallelokerot ja kahvin-/teenkeitin. Huoneessa on parveke tai terassi. Huoneissa on erillinen ruokailualue. Vuoteissa on ylelliset vuodevaatteet. Kaapelikanavat takaavat viihteen. Kylpyhuoneista löytyy suihkun ja kylpyammeen yhdistelmä, ilmaiset hygieniatuotteet ja hiustenkuivaaja. Ilmaisia vauvansänkyjä voidaan myös järjestää pyynnöstä. Siivous on saatavilla kerran vierailun aikana. Lomakeskus tarjoaa asiakkailleen seuraavat tilat: yksityinen ranta ja satama. Käytössäsi on 2 ulkouima-allasta, kuten myös lastenallas. Muihin vapaa-ajan palveluihin kuuluu vesiliukumäki. Seuraavat aktiviteetit ovat saatavilla joko paikan päällä tai sen lähistöllä, ja ne saattavat olla maksullisia. Tässä majoituspaikassa tehdään remonttia 11.12.2023– 31.12.2025 (remontin valmistusmispäivä saattaa muuttua). Teemme kaikkemme häiriöiden ja meluhaittojen minimoimiseksi kunnostustöiden aikana. Limited? No restaurants, portable toilets, nothing available except a bar at the pool
Elevators? ALL the elevators are not working ALL the time - I am awaiting surgery for my knees - they made me walk up 4 flights of stairs carrying my luggage.
The place looks more like a building site than a resort.
AND - AND - they add a high 'Resort fee' to the bill then they add a 'property fee'
Are you kidding me? There should be a DISCOUNT for the lack of facilities, lack of elevators, lack of consideration for paying customers.

Love the South Seas ... but wish they would have disclosed the true state of the Resort
1. Scoops isn't open, the Fitness Center is closed, Harborside Bar & Grill is closed, elevators are nonfunctional in some buildings, Bathrooms at the pool are Portapotty (High end/High Quality, clean and had elevator music ... and weren't a problem)
2. The waterslide is open as is the main pool. The Bar at the pool is fully functional. There is food service at the pool, just that the food is limited as it is by food trucks (Tacos - Good high Quality and delicious. No Salad or Veggie Options.)
3. There aren't enough umbrellas for sunshade at the pool for the amount of chairs. As a result, there is limited space for shade at the pool if there is a large enough crowd which is usually the case. As a result people end up with no where to sit, unless you want to fry in the sun.
4. The decor of the room was weak. Not like it was before. Floors were Vinil not tile and not installed properly. The headboard on the bed was loose. The mirror closet was rusted at the bottom ... sign that it wasn't changed after the flood. It was obvious the rehab job after the damage, wasn't done to the par of the Resort.
Despite all these setbacks, none of this bothered us... b/c the service and kindness of the staff fully made up for the negligence on behalf of the owners. The people who work there are doing a phenomenal job to keep the place afloat and keep the guests happy. Management should follow thru ... it costs nothing to get more umbrellas at the Pool or add a veggie/salad option to the menu. For $600/night? ... Really.
What bothered me about all of this is that none of this was disclosed when I booked the room. I was also given a Tennis Villa room when I arrived. I specifically asked for a room near the main pool so as to not have to walk. The person who I spoke to who made the reservation confirmed this to me. This was deceiving. We paid USD600/night. The Ritz Carlton on Vanderbilt Beach has rates at $500/night and is fully operational. Upon arrival, Terry at the front desk apologized and did accommodate us to a 2 bedroom suite near the Pool. This was after having to go back to reception (which is at the Starbucks Strip mall) to complain. He also gave us a late check out for our troubles. Terry was great.
The Sunsets are still amazing and the quality of the service both at the pool and at the Beach is wonderful. They set up live music, a food truck and marshmallow roasting there as well (Good quality food!) and free Icee's for the kids. Again ... I cannot say it enough ... the Staff, the Staff, the Staff and the Sunsets are what make this place what it is. I will pay the USD600/night once again to stay there. We love the South Seas ... just didn't appreciate being deceived.
Management should really be upfront with potential guests about the status of the Resort. All these things should be disclosed and not leave the Staff to manage the disappointment and deceit upon arrival. Evident sign of a weak Management ...
Management shouldn't also push for the ownership to buy a few more umbrellas at the main pool in order for guests to be comfortable. Especially for $600/night.
We love the people of Lee County who work at the South Seas. They have always made us feel like home and didn't fail this time around. We will continue to visit.
To the Management/Investors; A little investment in the right things go a long way. The South Sea crowd is hardy and loyal. We have 20 years of memories invested at the resort. We understand what you went thru. Nonetheless, the Resort still sells itself. It's located in the heart of Paradise. All you have to do is keep it polished ... Don't deceive people by not disclosing the work-in-progress. Make the necessary investments to keep the Guests happy. We will keep on coming back

It was a pleasure to welcome you and yours back once again and we thank you for being part of our extended South Seas family. As your comments note, our resort and greater Captiva have been through a lot in the last two years, with the hurricane doing extensive damage to the area. We are grateful to every guest we have who is a part of our rebuilding process and we so value your feedback.
Your kind words regarding the warm welcome provided by our team have truly captured our attention and we thank you for taking the time to celebrate their efforts. We do apologize for any misunderstandings regarding your room assignment; with more limited inventory, we should have communicated that such requests are noted as a preference but guaranteeing a particular room location, especially on a holiday weekend is difficult for us to do. We again appreciate you letting us know so that we can ensure the proper coaching and training takes place with our team.
The added feedback regarding the property is also received with open arms and we apologize if our available amenities were at all a surprise. We’ve taken effort on our property website to keep guests informed of what has been restored and what is on the horizon though if not known prior to arrival, we understand feeling surprised and we again extend our apologies.
We thank you for investing the time to share your additional comments and we look forward to shining brighter upon your return. With each passing day we are listening to the feedback of our guests and taking suggestions into consideration as we prepare to debut the South Seas of tomorrow. Will never visit again
1. Elevators not working in 3 story buildings - not notified of this when we booked. Fortunately we were able to get a different room.
2. Unless you’re close to the marina you have to drive your car to the beach and pool - or wait for a shuttle that isn’t frequent. They have golf carts - but it would’ve cost $700!!!!! to have a cart from Fri at check in to Monday check out!!!!
3. We booked a tennis Villa to play tennis but no court there - so luckily we were able to sneak in one of the others that were usually locked.
4. No restaurants - 2 food trucks - which were pretty good.
5. This is the deal breaker - 12% fee charged at checkout for housekeeping (we were never offered), front desk (???), engineering and security. So first you pay a lot for the room - and then they want you to pay for their operating expenses. Nope - never again. Oh - and I emailed them to express my outrage and never received a response.

Greetings to you and yours and thank you for joining us during your recent Captiva retreat. It was a pleasure to serve as your host though we are sorry to learn that your visit left you wanting more. Unfortunately, the hurricane deeply impacted our area, and as you likely saw from other businesses and residents in the area the rebuilding efforts take time, and our greater community is so thankful for the support of those who are spending time on the island. We are happy to report that in the coming months, repairs to some of our areas will be complete, and new amenities, including our own restaurant will soon make their debut.
Your added feedback regarding the distance to the beach has been heard and we apologize if that was at all a surprise. With over 300 acres and 2 miles of beaches, this has always been the case at our resort, and we again regret if this caused any concern. We further apologize if the details of our resort fees and taxes were not known prior to your arrival though we’ve taken great effort in providing transparency about this on our website and third-party channels.
We thank you once more for sharing your review and we hope you’ll one day reconsider and visit again as we would like nothing more than the chance to win your heart with a treasured Captiva experience.

Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. South Seas Resort will add a Resort Fee, plus occupancy and state tax per day for each guest 13 years and older to your rate. Resort fee is due at check in - $25 per person aged 13 years and up. The resort fee includes: • Guest room high speed internet • Daily trolley service throughout the Resort • Resort pool complex amenities include poolside towels and lounge chairs • Beach (South and Sunset Beach) amenities include beach towels, chairs and umbrellas • Fitness center access • Participation in special Resort activities • Parking • Tennis court fees * • Tesla and EV charging stations * All play requires advanced reservations. Players must check in at the Pro Shop before playing. Instruction and equipment are not included in the resort fee. Tennis reservations may be booked 7 days in advance of play. A Service Fee equal to 10% of the nightly rate, plus applicable taxes is applied daily for 24/7 support and resort services including engineering, security, housekeeping and environmental trash, recycling and laundry services for vacation rental accommodations. Construction in multiple areas around the island.
Guests must provide own credit card which matches name of reservation when checking in. The hotel will pre-authorize your card and the pre-authorization will be released if there are no extra charges or damage to the room when checking out.
